I've just purchased/downloaded Finale 25.4.1.152, which I'm running on a Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with Windows 7.

It seems to work OK.

However the palette tool icons are offset to the right from their buttons and seem cut apart at the button outline. This occurs with all the tool palettes (main, advanced, simple entry, smart shapes, etc.), and gets worse farther to the right (horizontal palette) and farther down (vertical palette).

I've tried closing and opening them, which makes no difference.

Have you tried restarting the computer? Trashing the preferences?

 

It is frustrating to have that happen on a new installation!

I agree with Mike - having that happen right away is frustrating! It sounds like you might want to check you DPI settings. Finale currently supports up to 200% DPI scaling, some newer Windows laptops default to 250%. As such, this is something our Finale development team is looking to improve in the future, but for now, you might want to reference this article to investigate lowering your DPI setting.
