I am using 2014.5 on a Mac. Up until a few weeks ago (after I upgraded from El Capitan to Sierra) a document would always open in the view and size which I had last used for it. Now, however, every document opens at 100%, which is too small for my monitor, no matter what size I previously had it. So I have to change every document view size when I open it. This is not a horrible problem, but it adds time--if I am working on multiple parts, it adds quite a lot of time. I see nothing in Prefs that affects this. I would like documents to open, as they used to, in the last view size used.

Hi Allen:

The preference structure of window states changed with Sierra. This is a known issue that we addressed in Finale v25. We do not plan to address the defect in 2014.5.

I'm on Windows, but I assume it should be the same or similar:

In Preferences > New > New Document Windows > View Percent: Change to what suits you.

Dear George, Thank you, but you don't seem to have read my post carefully. As I said, it's not a problem with new documents, but with documents I've been using already (sometimes for years). And of course I can change the percentage manually, but previously I didn't need to; Finale opened the document in the same view percentage I had last used. This results in a waste of my time--sometimes, with big scores and multiple parts, a lot of time.

It's a bit misleading but this affects any document you open. You can set shortcut percentages from the View Preference as well.
