I have a section originally composed in 6/8. My professor recommends I change it to 2/4 or cut time due to the fact that it utilizes tuplet groupings of 4 in one part. Is it possible to change the time signature from 6/8 to 2/4 or cut time and have the existing material remain sonically intact although doted quarters now become quarters or halves in the case of cut time?
