Hello,
I'm using 2010 and can't upgrade, so let's take that off the table please.
For years it seems Finale has had Ritardando playback - you put in the pre-defined "rit," symbol and it has a "shape" it executes.
I've always found this to be a rather weird implementation though it could be powerful if it worked - however I can never figure out how it works.
If I want a certain tempo slow down, I would select the mark, duplicate it, and edit it, assuming the "slope" of the shape didn't decelerate at the rate I wanted.
It seems like those ratio numbers should control the rate, but I can't figure them out. The default one has 1:1 on the top row, then 13:4 on the next row (or it might have been 13:1).
I tried carious numbers in the ratio but it doesn't seem to do anything.
I had given up on it long ago, and just exported the MIDI file into a DAW and made my tempo adjustments there because it's so much easier.
But if there's some way to put in and control an accel or decel while I'm working doing a sketch, it would be really nice to be able to do...
