When I open the plugin and choose a piano sound, I set the three sliders all the way to the top, but as soon as I hit "play" (the spacebar in ProTools) The levels drop back to 5. This is so amazingly annoying.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there a fix for this?

I have noticed that there has not been an update for this plugin in a very long time.

The slider represents CC data. ARIA Player's sliders are normally CC11. If you're not sending any values for that CC, then the instrument falls back to its defaults.

Thank you. The problem has been solved. Apparently the midi volume was set lower in Protools  than I had it set on the plugin, so as soon as the session started, it jumped down. I have raised the MIDI volume on the track, and now all is well.
