Mac OS 10.15.7 (Catalina) and Finale v27

I'm wondering about how Finale decides upon the subdivisions to articulate in the metronome for different time signatures.  I'm having issues with 6/8, or other meters where the bottom of the signature (n/8) is something other than 4.  I can't find any documentation about how to change what subdivisions the metronome is articulating in hyperscribe, which has rendered it useless several times.

Example, 6/8 in the time signature tool programming as two dotted quarter notes.  Through some testing I've found that the metronome is articulating quarter notes (1 2 3 4 5 6), which is very frustrating when the natural strong beats are (1 2 3 4 5 6).

Any ideas about how I can have more control over how the metronome is setup?

Thanks!

Thank you Mike.  I didn't realize that playback controls would affect recording.
