I am using MacOS Big Sur and I am not able to input any other smart shape besides the slur. The drop down option from the toolbar is displayed but it displays no icons for 8va, 15va, pitch bend, glissando, crescendo hairpin etc. The slur is only given as the default smart shape that's why I'm able to use and edit only that one. PLEASE HELP

Please specify the steps you’ve already taken (to solve the problem), so that we can rule out things.
(Have you - e. g. - tried trashing your Preferences file? Rebooted? Or?)

Have you tried dragging a corner of the palette, to see if it expands?

Thank you for your responses. Again the smart shape palette is not showing up whatsoever. When I click the smart shape icon from the main tool palette, nothing happens. Instead it only gives me the option to use a slur. I can manually browse through the other shapes from the drop down menu located in the toolbar but when I select any other function besides slur, nothing happens. Yes, I have rebooted the program and no I did not erase an existing preferences file because I could not locate one on my hard drive (I looked in this folder location; ~/Library/Preferences).

What version of Finale are you using? - perhaps v27?

This may be a stupid question, and no offense is intended, but have you gone to the Window menu and selected the Smart Shape palette?
