Windows 10, Finale 27.3

I have read: https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/5040865884567-Automatic-double-bar-line-with-change-of-instrument-how-to-override-?input_string=Can%27t%20clear%20double-bar%20line

My situation is similar, but... In my case there is no key change.
When I do "Display in Concert Pitch" the double-bar line goes away, but returns when showing transposition--even though there is no key change and no time change.

Odd, just a moment ago I did rid the "double-bar" but it is replaced with a single bar with space to the right (see below)

Perhaps unrelated, or not, for some reason my document seems to want to default to the percussion clef when I copy and paste.
Weird. Something is odd with this document.

Thank you in advance.

Since I've apparently commented on this a year ago ... this seems to still be effective: "does your document display as a transposed score? (see Document > Display in Concert Pitch unchecked). If so, then check Document Options > Barlines > Double barlines preceding key changes. If that is checked and if your new instrument is transposing, then you'll get a double barline."

Have you perhaps only changed to alto sax for two measures? that might explan the double barline afterwards (being the left barline of the third bar, presumably back to the original instrument)

Also - you have changed to alto sax from which instrument? if it's not in the same transpostion, ti would explain the double barline because of a  key change (showing ony in a transposed score)

As for copying and pasting with a clef appearing - in the Edit Filter have you set Copy Clefs to Never? (why it uses the percussion key I have no idea)

It would of course be easiest to see (a small section of) the file to be able to tell what's going on.

Hi Ernie and Michael,

Thank you for your help.

The piece is for large jazz band and in this area the alto sax switches to flute, and then back.

Yes, now I see what is happening. I guess I just don't do the instrument changes that often to realize what has happened.

RE: clefs, I have the edit filter set to always copy clefs, as a general rule.
