Windows 10,   Finale 26.3.1. 520    For the past several Finale upgrades, the Utilities / Music Spacing command has had no effect whatsoever on spacing.  Any of the 4 "Apply" options can be selected, and any portion of music can be selected, from 1 measure to an entire piece.   It makes no difference.   It's as if the command had never been executed.  Is there a fix for this bug?

Craig, do you have automatic music spacing turned on? If that’s the case, maybe it’s spacing as you work, so there’s nothing for “Apply Music Spacing to do. Just a theory, of course…

Thanks, Mike.  I'll check on that setting.

Today, I wanted to add a note to a measure, so I used the "insert" option within Speedy Entry.  The measure got very crowded, with symbols tumbling over each other.  Generally, I set "item spacing" wide enough so that there is no crowding.  Today, neither "Music Spacing" nor "reformat" would adjust the spacing on that measure.   I simply deleted all items within the bar and re-input them from scratch.   This seems to occur anytime I try to use those 2 commands these days.  They used to work, 8 or 10 years ago, but not recently.

Check your system locks and do you have any hard page breaks. A Page Break wil dead end any spacing beyond it. If so delete any hard page breaks.

Thank you, Ernest.   This is a good reminder...anytime something fails to function, it generally turns out to be either my "user error" or a conflicting setting upstream which prevents the the command from executing properly.
