Before doing layout work I would toggle {Automatic Music Spacing} off.

Possibly that very key is stuck (electronically or physically).

Good question, my description was not clear. It's when lyrics have been entered and one wants to adjust height with the arrows: they show a dotted line.

Did you select the staff style option “Copyable” ?

This would apply to all measures. Handle bars are for manual adjustment of particular bars.

I actually didn't know there are metatool triggers for time signatures ;) thanks for the tip. It might be

a bug, because I don't use metatool triggers/ shortcuts for entering time signatures. Restarting helps,

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this in my own copy of Mac Finale v27.3.0.160.

For me, there is not vertically any space between the dotted line and the lyrics.

For me it makes a difference:

When the option {Copyable} is selected, the staff style is copied with the measures.

For me, the Extra Space at the Beginning only applies to the selected measure(s).

Thanks. I will have a look at the last thing you mentioned. The first two points might be a difference between mac and windows, I'm not sure.
