MacOS 10.13.6
I can't choose a font size or change font size using Finale 25.5.0.259.
Welcome to the forum!
Do you have the problem
- in all Finale documents (= is the problem document specific)?
- in all Finale Tools (= is the problem tool specific)?
- in other programs (= is the problem specific for the Finale program)?
Please describe your steps to reproduce the problem:
What are you trying to achieve?
How are you trying to do it?
What happens when you do that?
What doesn't happen that you expect to happen?
What is the "Main" thing?
If the lyrics have not yet been entered, change the font in the Document Options > Lyrics.
If they have been entered, open the lyric window, select all, and go to the Text menu (yes, the Text menu is there when the Lyric tool is chosen) and go to Font Settings. Make your change. If you have multiple lyric verses, you have to do this to each one.
Thanks, Doug. I never thought of that. But you don’t enter lyrics from there. You have to select the lyric tool and specify the current lyric. So, I have no clue what he’s doing or not doing.
Edward, are you selecting the lyrics in the lyric window? If they aren't selected, Finale doesn’t know what you want to change, and so your choices will be greyed out.
… The Font settings window has "24" greyed out - ALL fonts have a greyed out size -"24" it's NOT 24 …
Edward Kramer,
If I understand you correctly, you need the font Finale Lyrics, in size 24 Points - right?
In your attached screen shot the font size (for the font Finale Lyrics) is set to 16 Points.
And the ‘16’ does not seem to be greyed out.
I suspect that you can just double-click on the ‘16’, and change it to ‘24’.
