I am having issues with a 3rd party font that is installed on the system (StockholmPlate). I have put the font annotation file in the proper folder and even added the font to the MacSymbolFonts.txt file. Yet the font does not work properly in Finale. I still even get the dialogue appearing that says the font is not in the list of symbol fonts. I'm currently running Finale v26 on a Mac OS X - Catalina.
