I am a a Finale newbie and working on my 3rd arrangement with a 27" iMac which has macOS Big Sur (version 11.1.)

I purchased an inexpensive MidiPlus AKM320 2 1/2 octave keyboard to see if I would use it with Finale.  I really like this method of entry, but find the keys to be too stiff and they sometime don't notate the pitch.  Another problem I have is that sometimes a pitch is notated on the score, but doesn't sound.  Not sure why it was highly rated on Amazon.

I would like to upgrade to a 3 octave keyboard with an easier touch and isn't too deep.  It should fit between my keyboard and iMac-about 9" maximum, and be 30" or less in length.  I am a flutist and piccoloist, and don't plan on using the keyboard away from my office desk.  Is it possible to purchase one $150 or less?  Thanks for your collective wisdom, Carolyn

You might have better luck contacting a retailer who sells midi keyboards like Sweetwater.
