Yes, I agree with this. Also the high end note should be up to C7, which is the standard on any size marimba. C2-C7 is the modern standard for marimba pedagogy. It's also funny that Garritan has a setting for ranges on mallet instruments of "Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced". A beginner is capable of playing the entire range of the mallet instrument from day one, just maybe not as quickly as a professional...
