Hi. The sound quality on my Finale audio playbacks using either nylon guitar or grand piano (SoftSynth) is not good at all. Single notes, even two together, are not bad but when there are many notes in a chord there are terrible distorting vibrations, wobbles, and as the sound (chord) decays the wobbling gets worse. Volume settings in both VST Effects and Mixer are all set at 100. I've tried lowering the volume settings (Master, and for each instrument) but the problem is still there.

Finale 26 with Windows 10.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Just thought to add the facts that:

1: Reverb is set to 0

2: The ugly distortion is most heard on the rest (silence) after the chord, and also when I stop the playback. So it is the ends of the sounds (the tailing-off) that are suffering the worst effects.

This is looking like a total monologue, but in case anybody has the same problem I can report that a reinstall of Finale, Garritan and Aria Player, with a new choice now of the Garritan instruments has resolved the problem.

Same. I see this is from a year ago. Did you ever find a solution?

Yes! Reinstalling Finale (+ Garritan + Aria Player all included in same package).
