There was a similar post previously, but the kluge was to just merge the layers.

I have a jazz score with 4 trumpets on one staff. If I want to merge the beams I have to rewrite the whole thing as a single layer, and then explode again to extract parts.

I would like to see the option to merge beams across layers.
