Windows 10, Roland Quad Capture, Finale 26.3.520

Finale disables YouTube sound.   This means, if you are trying to transcribe a piece from YouTube onto a Finale chart, and you are going back-&-forth between YouTube and Finale, you have to shut down Finale each time before you can hear the sound on YouTube.   Is there a workaround for this?

That almost certainly means that you have your sound card driver in Finale set to grab exclusive control of the sound card. In many cases one can turn that option off, but that depends on the sound driver you use with Finale.

Craig,

Sometimes it is problematic to get Finale to play well with other programs. I had it working perfectly on my Dell desktop but I can't get it to work with other programs on my new PowerSpec computer. For whatever reason the settings that worked on the Dell do not work on the PoweSpec. So I say, good luck!
