When I load old projects that use Aria Player in Cakewalk it works just fine. Instruments load, the Instrument range shows on the player keyboard as well as keyswitches.

When I create a new project. I drag instruments to any of the 16 midi channels and the instrument fails to register. 

I did find a way to drag an instrument and it showed in the channel, but it did not show the instrument range or keyswitches. On playing the track the instrument played, and then after a little time the name dissappeared from the channel and continued to play. I've spent a frustrating few hours trying sort this out, knowing full well that old projects load and run just fine without problems.
