I'm using v.27.0.0.782 on a Mac (Ventura 13.4.1).  How do I change the order of month and day when inserting File Date in Text?  In my most recent files, when I insert the date the day comes up first - day/month/year rather than month/day/year, which I've always used before.  Doc.Options/Text/Date Format only lets you change whether it's all numbers or the month spelled out.

Interesting - mine defaults to month first:

Here is after changing the Mac OS date settings:

Mac OS Monterey

Finale 27.3

Could it be your user preferences for Location and Region? Check in your settings - if you have your short date set on your Mac to display the day first, Finale will use that for the short date (first option in list).

When I changed mine to day first in the system settings, the Finale options updated to reflect that change. I'm guessing your default short date is day/month/year.  Once you are in the Language & Region settings tab, click on Advanced, then the Date tab - make your changes there.

Thank you, Doug - my Location and Region settings were the problem.  They must have gotten changed with the last OS update.
