Hello,

I bought Finale 27.3 last month and I did't figured out how to make the Garitans work.

Garitans are in my computer but when I enter music or even clip play for listening to it there is no sound.

What could I do?

macOS Sonoma14.0 / Finale 27.3

Thank you in advance.

Check under MIDI/Audio >>  VST Banks and Effects.  Sometimes, for no reason at all, a bank of sounds is set to zero output volume.   At least in Windows, it is.  I can't make sense of why it happens, but it does.

I too had trouble with the audio playback not working after installing Finale 27. I suggest that in the Midi/Audio tab you check that "Play Finale through Audio Units" is checked, (or through MIDI if you have a MIDI device for playback). If this is OK go down to Device Setup (still in the MIDI/Audio tab) and select Audio Setup. In the lower half of the window check that the correct outpu t device is selected. (In my case this was set to something weird after installing Finale 27.) Also check the Mixer entry under the "Window" tab to make sure that the faders are all set to something sensible. Good luck!

(I should perhaps add that my situation is rather dodgy because I installed MacOS Sonoma before reading the advice saying not to do that. The OS has been out for a while now, but I've not seen an update to Finale which might work properly. It's quite annoying that functions like "Add Instrument" don't work, and the suggested workaround only half works because the instruments that you add can't be printed out as separate parts. All very annoying.)

Merci d'avance
