My finale has been working wonderfully for the last five years. This morning however, I tried playing back a score I am working on and the playback was pure static (sporadic pops and sounds instead of noise), and the measures on the playback controls tool were going faster than expected. I opened other documents to check, and the same issue happened. I am able to get playback sound with MIDI piano instead of human playback on some other documents, but the playback speed is way off, way too fast.

Additionally, I've tried to restart my computer, multiple output devices, reassigning sounds, and using different audio maps (note performer and garriton sounds). I've even tried to update my computer to see if the issue would stop, and it hasn't stopped. I was wondering if you could offer any advice—it would be extremely appreciated.

This is normally a symptom of System Audio playing 44.1 files at 48kHz. I'd start with Audio MIDI Setup.app in your Utilities Folder to make certain that everything is set to the same sampling rate.

Make sure that 25 is the latest version. MakeMusic fixed a longstanding problem with this in Finale 25.3 or 25.4. It's not supposed to happen anymore but there are apps that will reset your System Audio. I also noted that the Ventura update to 13.6 did that to me.
