It's been fixed

How did you fix it? Ive just reinstalled Finale onto a new laptop and now i can't get it to playback. The cursor doesnt move and there is no playback.  Thanks

Windows Finale or Mac Finale ?

The original poster was using Finale v27 on Windows 10.

Are you using v27 on Windows 10 ?

What playback device are you using ?

Take a look in the MIDI/Audio menu.

Is the menu item

Play Finale Through MIDI

selected or de-selected?

Please specify the steps you’ve already taken (to solve the problem), so that we can rule out things.

Hi, thank for the reply.

I have just gone back into finale to see what was selected and its now working, with the cursor moving along and play albeit very quietly.  I am confident i will be able to sort the volume.  For your information i am running Finale v27.3 on Windows 11 home. 

I looked in the help manual and checked that all the options i should have checked were checked. I shut the program down when it wasn't working and when i have opened it again, i can now play and the cursor is moving along and playing the music.  All very strange, but hopefully its sorted for now.  Thanks again for the quick email,

Just my own curiosity, why did you upgrade to 27.3 when there is 27.4.1 available?
