Why does audio driver change every time I open and close Finale. I chose WASAPI. When I close Finale and reopen it goes back to DirectSound. Is there someway of making it stay at WASAPI
Some time ago I had the reverse problem with each new version of Finale: I needed DirectSound to hear playback, but the program defaulted to another driver each time I opened Finale. I suggest you use the "Submit a request" link above to contact Finale Support. They were able to give me instruction how to alter one of the Finale startup files to make my program default to DirectSound.
