If one's machine is set to 44.1K and a program (such as Finale) is set to 48K (or vice versa), that can cause problems. Check the Audio setting in the Windows Control Panel and Finale's MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Audio Setup to verify that they are compatible.

 

(Also see if CFX Grand and the Aria Player either have a Sample Rate requirement or are using an incompatible rate.)

 

(After years of using 44.1K, all my sample rates are now set at 48K, I think because Cubase kept changing it to 48K on its own, so I finally gave in and use 48K for everything.)

The issue was likely related to ASIO4ALL. After installing FL Studio, everything is working fine for me.
