There aren't typically any menus which pop up on screen automatically after selecting a tool. Rather, you'll see the tool's menu appear along your top menu bar ( File, Edit, Utilties etc.). Can you help me understand which tool you're having trouble with?

I recently upgraded to the new Sierra. All of a sudden my tool bars have disappeared or only partially show. (Talking about the Master Tool Bar, etc.) Tried to restart. Wonder if I should dump preferences and restart–but I can't remember where those are stored.

Anyone else have problems with this?
