I have Finale 2014.5 running on Windows 10.  I have a piece in which the 1st ending is the same as the 3rd (final) ending (2nd ending is different).  I can get it to play that way, but I want the 3rd ending to have a ritardando and fermata.  I entered a ritardando and fermata and they play both times that ending is played as expected.  

In order to have the endings sound different, I made a copy of the ritardando and changed the playback to play "only on pass 2."  Now the ritardando only plays the last time the way that I want it, but if I change the text to state "rit. last time only" it no longers works at all.   Why does changing the text change the playback- I didn't change any other setting other than the text.

The fermata plays on both passes no matter what I have entered for the ritardando.  I cannot find an option to change the fermata to play "only on pass 2" like the ritardando.
