Hello, 

 

I am exchanging computers for a new one at my university and am wondering how to transfer finale over to my new computer.

Hi Brooke,

 

You need to deauthorize the current computer and reauthorize on the new computer.  This article will walk you through that process.  You can download your PrintMusic software from your account here after logging in.

I had Finale 2003 on my home computer, but started using a newer version of Finale on my school laptop a number of years ago.  I have recently retired from teaching, so my updated version is now not available to me.   I have retained my files and have a new laptop.  How do I open all my files on my new computer when my old 2003 version is not available to transfer?

Hi Teresa.

 

If you need immediate access to the files, you can either download the Finale 25 demo. That will give you 30 days to play.

Alternatively, you can downloafd Notepad http://www.finalemusic.com/products/finale-notepad/resources/ which is free.

If you own an academic version, contact MM and ask about upgrading to a full version. Scroll to the top of this page and click on "Submit a request" next to your username.
