I got the following error message when I click on "SETUP WIZARD" to create a new document in Finale 2014.5. Finale Knowledge Base does not have the solution. Help please!! Thank you in advance

Hi all,

 

Thank for posting!

 

Quick order of business -  Arie: I deleted your post on this thread due to some sensitive personal information that was posted, but I will be reaching out to you to look further into the issue you described. Please be sure to avoid posting serial numbers, email addresses, and other personal information!

 

The reason you are getting this error message is because a necessary configuration file that Finale uses to build the Setup Wizard is either missing, or cannot be seen due to some sort of permissions issue.

 

To address this please try the following:

 

1. Log into your MakeMusic account here.

2. Click the green Download button next to the Finale 2014.5 (may say 2014) section.

3. Once the full installer has completed downloading, run the installer. It can be found by default in your computer's Downloads folder and will be called FinaleSetup.exe.

Note: There is no need to uninstall or deauthorize, just run the full installer to completion it should fill in any gaps.

4. Restart your computer.

5. Relaunch Finale.
