 Hello,

Recently I purchased the FinalePrintmusic2014 and I have the feeling it misses quite some options. For instance, the Tools bar is missing. And I can't use the note mover.

So if I want to use cross-staff notes it seems the finale printmusic is restricted. Also ALT+SHIT and up or down with the arrow doesn't move the note which I selected with the selection tool.

I am also afraid that the special tools palette is missing in the FinalePrintmusic. When I bought this version I read nothing about this and I expected that this should be in the version. As I am not interested in all the softsynths and the other options that are in the total package.

I hope some one can tell me if it's indeed true that the note mover is not available in the FinalePrintmusic version. In addition is there a possibility to upgrade the FinalePrintmusic to use this option. Maybe in some kind of a plug-in?

Thank in advance for any help!

Hello! I'm afraid those are limitations in PrintMusic. If those are important features to you, you'll want to consider upgrading to the full version of Finale v25 from our online store. Trade-up discounts are available for current PrintMusic owners!

Hi Adam,

First of all thank you very much for your fast reply.
I am wondering if it's possible just to pay for the plugins I need. I am interested in using the note mover and a few other tools to get my sheet music readible.

I am wondering if I have to pay 480$ for just that plugin. I understand the whole package is expensive with all the softsynts but I really don't need them. I just am interested in the basic options to do proper notation work.

I hope I can buy these additional features without having to pay the whole package. Do you know if that is possible?

Thanks again for your help.

I think it would be pretty cool if you could add on features modularly like that, but as of right now we can't add a plug-in to PrintMusic which would grant you those additional features.

Adam - your posts don't comply with the Feature Request House roules set up by your colleague Lawson, https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/212952108-Feature-Request-House-Rules . So does this posting of mine, I'm afraid, because it's also not a feature request/discussion. But if this forum should be of *any* use, at least the employees should stick to the rules, don't you think? And even Noud could benefit from other user's opinions, if this thread would be moved to the General Discussion forum, what I propose. Other users might also be interested in the topic too, but wouldn't notice it, if it isn't discussed in the General board, where it belongs. Thanks for the understanding.
