I have an iMac with version 10.11.6 El Capitan

I am using Make Music Finale 2014.5  #MFNA 012353

My issue is that I have changed the name of an instrument (from bells to accordion)) on its part and now my score says 'Accordion' on the score and all the parts also say accordion.  I have gone to the help center and they told me how to change the name in the score using score manager.  I still have all the instrument parts listed as accordion, including the score.  I am lost as to how to correct my mistaked or a short cut that would  do the same.

Hi David

 

Have you applied a staff style to the instrument?

To check, select the staff tool. If you see a grey 'bar' above the staff then you have. It may be that you have also defined the staff name in whichever staff style hasd been applied to the staff.

You can either clear the staff style, or if the style has other attributes you require, edit the staff style and change the name there.

If that does not help, you cold upload your file to a file sharing service like dropbox or google drive and then post a link to the file here so that someone can look at it and see what's going on.

What does YOUR Score Manager look like? Are we safe to guess you are playing through VST (Aria) and not via MIDI?
