I have an M-Audio Interface. I have signal going in from my keyboard. Confirmed by light input. I have a cable to USB out to my Mac Pro Laptop. I have Finale installed and am looking at a blank sheet music . I have my control setting to audio input, Piano. I get nothing when I trying to write my chart. What am I doing wrong. Thanks for any help. Dennis
Hi Dennis,
If you are having trouble entering notes into a Finale document with a MIDI controller, I recommend going through the instructions in our MIDI Input Troubleshooting article. As long as your operating system is receiving MIDI signal, Finale should also receive it.
Are you trying to record MIDI data from a MIDI keyboard or audio data onto an audio track through a microphone?
My own (limited) experience with adding an audio track to Finale is that it needs to be recorded elsewhere and imported as a file. If I am wrong, I would be happy to find otherwise.
