Finale 2014.5 is not creating a 'handchimes' used measure even though 'Display each separate notehead separately' and 'Use separate measure for each special notehead' are checked in the TG Tools Plug-in. Only the handbells measure is being created. The old 2014 version worked fine. Any ideas?

I know it's been some time, but I had the same problem and solved it.  It appears that the 2014 version of TG Tools doesn't creates a Chime list for Finale 2014.5.  But the older TG Tools does so.To get this to work:

  1. First I went to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Finale 2014.5\Plug-ins" and made a folder "TG Tools 2014" and moved the file "TGToolsLE.fxt" to the new folder.
  2. Then I made a another folder in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Finale 2014.5\Plug-ins" called "TG Tools 2012"
  3. Then I went to http://www.tgtools.com//downdocs.htm and downloaded windows installer for "v2.71 for Finale 2010-2014"
  4. For this step, I had Finale 2012 still installed so the installer placed the file in the 2012 folder.  I'm not sure where it will place it if you do not have that installed.  You may have to make the 2012 Folder structure.
  5. When you run the downloaded installer, you can select to download the Tools for TGTools for Finale 2012.  Note that it might put these in a folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Finale 2012\Plug-ins\TG Tools"
  6. I took the file the installer created file - named "TGToolsLE.fxt" - and copied it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Finale 2014.5\Plug-ins\TG Tools 2012".
  7. Then I opened Finale, and ran the TG Tools 2012 Create Handbells Used and everything worked.
