Display Scaling for 4K and Retina

Still hoping for high resolution displays to be supported. The program is nearly unusable on a 4K display. Running Windows 10 on a Surface Book.

I'm having the same problem with my recently purchased 4k laptop. I can barely see the note entry tools. Do the improvements you mention in your above comment also apply to Notepad? Or do they only apply to Finale? Thank you!

William is correct, the support for Hi-DPI monitors was only implemented in Finale. We do not plan to update NotePad at this time.

And when does Print Music get a fix/upgrade? Purchased it 2016 but unable to use because it does not display on my Surface correctly.

Please don't suggest the 'workaround'. Makes display unusable for other programs. And I'm not switching the display ever time I need to run a different program.

Just upgraded to 25.5.

HD 4k is still not implemented well.

1. When opening a new project with the Wizard, I am still not able to select a time signature.

2. The playback controls are still out of alignment. Need to click on fast forward to play, etc.

Hello

Having been a loyal Finale user for over 30 years (yes THIRTY) I used to upgrade every year, up until 2014.5 .... unfortunately ever since 2014.5, I have been UNABLE to upgrade as the application simply does not work properly on modern high-resolution screens, namely 4K (3840x2160). As others have posted, the developers have not implemented DPI properly. A basic and embarrassing error for an application that retails at a very high price. This is going to get worse and worse as 4K (and even 8K screens become more and more prevalent. For example, the last four computers I have owned have ALL been 4K. PLEASE PLEASE Makemusic can you fix this extremely basic error. I note that you have done SOME work. as the latest version of Finale 26 (as of May 2020) seems to have fixed the appalling setup wizard errors where you couldn't select time signature etc. However you have not finished the job! The crazy playback control errors are still there which were reported YEARS ago. Namely you have to hit the PAUSE button to PLAY, etc. Please just go that little bit further and fix, so I can finally move away from 2014.5!!
