Hi - I am trying to install Garritan Virtual Steinway Concert Grand Model D. 

My new DAW runs Windows 7 pro 64 bit. Its an i7 processor with 32G ram.

I get the following error when I get to the sample manager part of the installation:

"Unable to execute file:

C:\Program Files\Garritan\Steinway\Steinway Sample Manager.exe

CreateProcess failed; code 740.

The requested operation requires elevation. "

 

I have registered the product at the MakeMusic site, and activated the player by dragging the 'certificate' image onto the player.

Could someone pls advise what might be going wrong?

Greg,

   I guess support doesn't monitor these threads.  I have almost the same issue but on Mac.  Bottom line is the Aira Player handles 64bit but the Sample Manager I have is only 32bit.  So re-installing it has been handicapped from the old versions.  I will try to write Jonathan Tcshiggfree who I believe is a product manager of audio at MakeMusic and see what our upgrade paths are since they didn't offer any solution for us.
