(I've posted this in the Garritan section as well)

How do you add simple up and down bows to the string section and string solo sounds? An articulation would be perfect, an expression would be workable.

I've created expressions using MID data dump (3, 144, <keyswitch number>, 127) as well as the articulations from the Finale articulation library. Manual says KS D# (3, #03) is up bow, and KS E (4, #04) is down bow. Both of these create a shorter tone, like a marcato - not as short as a pizz.

Hi John

Created a new HP technique.

Below is one created Up Bows for the 1st Violin section.

Do the same for 2nd violins, viola etc and for the other techniques. Using the up and down articulations should work as HP *should* interpret them correctly.

Cheers...

As far as I remember, in GPO, up and downbows are sampled ONLY as short notes, apparently meant for fast repetitioins only... There are no sustain samples sampled with up- or downbow.
