Hello There,

I am using Finale 2014.5 and mac OSX 10.11.

I have just fully installed my vst's and libraries, These are showing up in the directory /Plug-ins/Components. But for some reason? they still are not showing up in the Bank in Finale.

Any help would be great, Thank's

Have you re-scanned for VST's in MIDI/Audio > Device Setup? I'd try that first.

I'd try to offer more help, but my expertise is not with the Mac version.

Hi Jack

Are you by any chance using Finale 25? I know that you've written that youre using Finale 2014.5, but a lot of people have downloaded the latest 2014/5 'update' and not realised that it is actually Finale 25.

If so, you need to install 64 bit versions of the libraries.

Conversely, if you are in fact running Finale 2014.5, you need to ensure that you have installed 32 bit versions of the libraries.

Additionally: while the Mac can handle VST instruments, I believe that Finale for Mac can only 'see' AU versions. If you have installed VST versions you mey need to re-install them and select AU versions if available.

Cheers...

HI Daz,

My gosh, that's alot of knowledge! Thank you very much ; )

I downloaded it today from 'Makemusic', but not as an update. It says on the 'shortcut' 2014.5. What do you think??

I better get on to 'East/West Quantum leap' and find out if they are 32 bit and AU.
