Bb trumpet transposition incorrect

I'm using Finale 25 on a Mac. I read and understand the new transposition feature and it is working in my test score for most instruments, except Bb trumpet. Bb trumpet should be transposed up a Major 2nd, and the setting is correct in Score Manager, but Finale is transposing it down a minor 2nd instead. Oddly enough, if I manually add another staff and set it up as transposing up a Major 2nd it works correct, but Bb trumpet added using Finale Setup Wizard is wrong.

This is literally the first thing I tried with Finale 25 and already a problem.

Has anyone else run into the same issue?

Hi Andrew.

I'm on a windows machine, and I've not noticed this at all.

I've just gone and used the wizard to create a new score with a blank staff, a clarinet and a trumpet.

I then added another blank staff and manualy set the transposition to "Up M2, Add 2 sharps". Everything appears to be correct

The score is in the key of C maj., the trumpet and clarinets both have 2 sharps. When I enter a descending scale from C(natural) to middle C(natural) then show the score in concert pitch, the scale shows as Bb, A, G, F, Eb, D, C, Bb on all staves that have the transposition.

Are you able to upload a copy of your score somewhere and post a link here for us to look at?

Hey Daz, thanks for your reply. As I wrote, if I add a blank staff and set the transposition it works fine, just like for you. The problem seems to happen when I create a new document using the Setup Wizard. I'll try it a few more times and see if it is consistent.

I am now not able to reproduce the problem. And since I had to move forward with my project, yesterday I discarded the "broken" score so I can't share it here. I have to assume that I did something stupid, or it was a one-off anomaly. This is no longer an issue for me.

I want to be a good citizen in this forum. Is there a way to "close" or purge this issue so it doesn't clutter the works?
