You can always create a new part.

Document->Manage Parts...

Click on "New Part"

A new part (named "Part xx") will appear in the Linked Parts window.

Click on "Edit Part Name..." and give a descriptive name (High Recorders for eg)

In the Available Instruments window, select the alto recorder. Click on Add to Part

Do the same for the soprano recorder.

Click OK

In the Document Menu, click on Edit Part and select the part you just created.

Go through and check to see that the formatting is OK (fixing where necessary)

Extract the part.
