 How do I create a tuplet with a single slashed stem and the 3 above a dotted quarter in 4/4 time?  This is for a series of triplets that just change pitch on the beat.

Hi Alan

 

In simple entry, select the dotted quarter and press <alt>9 (<command>9 on the mac) in the tuplet definition window that pos up, enter 3 eighths in the space of 2 eighths and click ok

 

Then use the articulation tool to add the slash (artic. tool, hold '6' and click on the note)

Thanks Daz,

Got it.  Had to then go to the tuplet tool to remove the bracket.
