Hi!!

I often write hornarrangements for recorded music. My workflow is importing an audio/ video file to Logic, mapping the the bars, set markers for form (Verse/ Chorus etc) and start write/create/ arrange with a pianosound. 

After a while I export MusikXML from Logic and import to Finale (used to be Sibelius). I rewire Finale to sync with Logic, the bars sync so bar 43 is the same place in both. In Finale I make instrument parts en explode harmony into the instruments and make them look good.

Sync Finale and the audiofile/Logic gives a safe way of beeing sure the form/ doublebars/ rehearsalmarks is correct. I never miss a bar or come up with charts not fitting the recorded music (and spoil time figuring it out)

One thing I stongly miss in Finale is the possibility to start playing from a selection. Both as standalone and in rewire mode. (I know about entering bars in the playback window, but that is not a good workflow)
