Audio engine regularly fails to load,all drivers up to date, tried reinstall, no change

The audio engine can sometimes run into conflicts with sound cards depending on your hardware/audio driver configuration. Please first try the steps in this knowledge base article to see if the steps therein help configure Finale's audio engine to handle your current audio configuration.
George - the steps do also apply to PrintMusic as well, but in step three the directory will be "%appdata%\MakeMusic\Finale PrintMusic 2014" (without quotes).
