Good news and bad news: If you choose the Speedy Entry tool and then click outside a staff to clear the measure frame, and you then CTRL-click on a measure with notes in it, you can bring up the Edit Frame

The bad news. When I checked tie end, I might be able to see the end tie in the Speedy Entry frame, but not in the resulting measure when I exit Speedy Entry.
