Operating System: EL Capitan

Software version: Finale 2014.0.3062

THE PROBLEM:

Finale does not quit, neither from the main menu nor from the docket. This is stopping me from shutting down my Mac and from ejecting a USB back up from where I opened a 2012 Finale file in order to work on it using Finale 2014 installed in my MacBook.

1) The main menu does not allow to quit finale (Quit Finale is disabled), as the image shows:

2) The Quit option on the Docket is supposed to be available, but when you click on it, Finale does not quit either. The Docket Finale shows versions of the files I was working on, which may automatic be bak ups I cannot send to the trash basket either; I guess this must be the reason for Finale not quitting.

3) I cannot send the Program on the Docket to the trash basket either. Therefore, I am stuck.

What can I do?

If you are still having problems, likely from a dialog box appearing preventing the Quit menu item from being enabled, please contact customer support https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

(Assuming this is an urgent request and you need that USB, don't forget that you can go to the Apple menu item at top left, choose Force Quit, and force Finale to quit... obviously not a long-term solution, but yup!)
