Hello, I've installed Finale 27.4.1.110 and am notating drum beats. My finale gets off track from the music I'm trying to notate.

steps:
Insert a Tempo Mark, using expression toolbar button, mf.
type in 119.3 for name then click Playback TAB, and type in 119.3. come back, to edit this field, and Playback will only have 119.
And if pertinent, I'm always using type to "Tempo" with Quarter Note.

Some other notes:
A. I'm quite positive I remember Finale accepting fractions or decimals values in all these fields a few years ago. The main toolbar Playback BMP field also is not accepting 119.3.
B. This forum post seems to say decimal values are possible.

Thank you. If I can get decimals, it will make it much easier to hear where I'm off for any drum note, in a more flowing way, and to polish off finer details after the basic skeletal structure of drum notation exists, using a sync'ed playback to work towards. Since this particular song has 4 tempo changes and is 5 minutes long, I think 10th decimal place will be awesome, good enough, to sync up for 40 bars or so, before the next tempo mark. Thank you.

I've also tried uninstalling, checking windows updates, rebooting and reinstalling Finale.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Finale can do it. I seem to recall a few requests, but nothing has been done.

No. Post it to the feature request subforum. No confirmation. Into limbo…

Yes. Post it there.

No. It's been five or six years since anyone from MakeMusic commented on Feature Requests.

Thanks. Perhaps you can vote for it, to help it, link below. Such a change may only require integer to float definition. Simple, low-risk feature.

ok, I submitted a feature post as well, here is link.

For what it's worth, I've got the skeleton of the song notated, but it's missing a lot of fine details, so I'll be listening to and click play-pause a million times. So at this stage of notation, this decimal value would really help. I've tried loading the original music mp3 audio into Finale, I've tried using two interfaces with 2 different speakers....etc. I really hope they have some configuration software that can classify Finale Feature requests with low votes, but, that are no-risk and maybe lead Finale into a whole new market. ultimate cover bands, backing tracks.
