Seeking advice on how to turn off key switches. Did try to dig through the literature first in case this is a dumb question.

Frustrating problem that comes up with ensembles is that some instrument will have a key switch that overlaps a normal range for another instrument, and can only see one instrument at a time.

Example would be playing a second instrument in the range of the keyswitch of a hidden first instrument. This changes the nature of the hidden instrument. Was loading a multi track string section and constantly turning on the tremolo if I didn't remember what key not to press.

 Got to say, I'm humbled by the vibrant energy and response from this forum. As a newcomer seeking advice... I realize fully that newbie is the "N" word.

Looks like other respected seekers are stranded as well.

Is anyone still out there or is everything dead?

Got enough hi end libraries for Kontakt and others that the bug with Garritan is no deal breaker. Just move on and use something else that works.

Please however, have enough life in you to respond to the other respected souls who have asked you for help. If you have the knowledge and the energy to share.
