See if PrintMusic has the ability to turn off "check for extra notes" in the entry method (Simple or Speedy) that you are using. You can always turn it back on after you enter the quintuplets.

Hello againg: I have found "check for extra notes" only in the Simple entry menú. I don´t understand well how it Works. I have try to turn off this option and I have could writte the quintuplets even in the last beat (here was the problem) but now the software write rests and notes out of the score. I have tried to send a image of the score but the web site only upload 2mb and the fhoto and the picture have more megabites. I am sorry.

Realy in the manual the functions aren´t well explained and sometimes doesn´t work like the manual says.

I cannot send you a musx file via this forum, but I can give you another way of trying to enter your quintuplets. I do not use PrintMusic, so Finale may have some options you do not have. In Speedy, try pressing CTRL-5 to set up the quints before pressing your first sixteenth note (and it must be a sixteenth--at least initially--to tell Speedy what unit to use for the quints). Do this at the start of each set of quintuplets. I usually set up my tuplets before I type in notes--usually in Speedy step entry w/ a MIDI keyboard.

Speedy (in full Finale) also has an option to not check for extra notes.

You can also look here (an alternate Finale Forum) for more info on tuplets. One participant (Mike, the woodworker) has his own help site and knows about PrintMusic.
