I'm not sure what you mean by "two by two" quarters in 4/4. Can you explain more fully or scan a drawing?

Hello Adrian for your quick answer. I am spanish and my english is no so good as I´d like for the moment.

In my software, when I writte in 4/4, I can writte four quaters (sorry for the mistake) and in another mesure I can write 8 eighths, but these eighths are always written in groups of four. And I´d like to writte them in groups of two in order my pupils can see each different beat clearly. Whe they see 4 eighths toghether think that they are 16ths.

Now I see what you are after. ("Eso, si que es!" Did I get that right? It's been fifty years.)

In Finale (not sure of PrintMusic) in Document Options > Beams there is a checkbox you would un-check.

I hope these Document Options (and this option) exist in PrintMusic.
