Hi! I’m on Windows 11 and I’m at a loss at what to do here. I’ve been using Finale for a while and finally got fed up with changing all of my document settings every time I made a new file, so I tried creating a Document Style of my own. I set up a file and saved it in the folder indicated by Edit > Preferences > Folders, but when I launch my set-up wizard, my new file is nowhere to be found. I’ve tried resetting my computer, restarting Finale, and initializing my Finale preferences, and nothing has worked. I’ve seen a couple other posts about people having similar issues, but I haven’t gotten anything to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Did you look in the normal musx folder?

What do you mean by the normal musx folder?

The folder where all you normal Finale files save by default. It is listed in your Preferences drop down. If it is saved there, it won't show in the Wizard.

Oh, yes. I did not save it to that folder, I saved my template to the folder indicated for Document Styles in my Preferences (AppData\Roaming\MakeMusic\Finale 27\Music Files\Document Styles) and it still does not show up in the Wizard.

You saved it with the .ftmx extension? I.E. band.ftmx

Yes, I have it saved there with .ftmx, not .musx.
