I teach beginning band and use alpha notes when kids need extra help. I'm writing a piece out in a score, the alpha notes display in concert pitch for all parts, including Bb and Eb instruments. (Clarinets play a written A, but Alpha displays as "G"). I tried writing each part out on it's own separate file, and the same problem happens.

The workaround for this problem (on a clarinet part for example) has been to write the parts out on a separate file, and transpose the music up a major 2nd, then apply the alpha heads at the end.

What I need is the transposed note names to display in the transposed pitch. This wasn't a problem in version 24.

I'm using Version 27.3.0.137

Hi,

Not sure which version you are referring to as there was no version 24 (2012, 2014, 25, 26, 27) but, according to the manual, functionality is unchanged since 2012. Since we don't know your operating system, this is from the Mac manual.

In addition, there is an Alpha Notes plug-in:

If neither of these get you there, you can contact MakeMusic Support directly through the Submit a request link at the top of the page.
