Ready to begin production on an arrangement that has a pickup measure today, I learned that Finale doesn't export midi properly if there's a pickup measure present in the score. The drum part, in particular, didn't show up in the midi. 

Another Finale bug? Maybe it's generally a bad idea to try to do that anyway, because DAWs don't support pickup measures.

Solution? Clear the pickup, insert the missing beats in the pickup measure, and export again.
Finale 27.4, Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1

Have you tried this : instead of using the Pickup Measure command in the Document menu, define the pickup measure as a "shorter" measure via the signature tool (ex. : 2/4, but displayed as 4/4).
